The Odyssey WebROA system covers Criminal Case Data from 1988 to the present, Criminal Case Document Images from April 25, 2019 forward, and Criminal Case Minute Entries from 1998 to the present. St. Tammany Parish Criminal Records Services
The Slidell office provides criminal records research and copies. Expungement documents take seven days to process at the Slidell location. Birth and death records are available from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Marriage license applications must be submitted by 4:00 PM at the Slidell location. Certified land records take additional time since they must be verified with the Covington office.
One critical limitation at the Slidell Annex: protective orders cannot be processed there. Those must be submitted at the Justice Center in Covington. The clerk will not process protective orders after 3:00 PM even at the Covington location. If you need immediate help with a protective order situation, contact Safe Harbor at (985) 626-5740.

The Major is Lauren Hudson (laurenhudson@stpso.com) and the Custodian of Records is Captain Keith Canizaro (keithcanizaro@stpso.com). The sheriff's office maintains arrest records independently from the court clerk's case files.
The St. Tammany Parish archives department handles older records that are not available through the standard online systems, including case files predating the 1988 digital cutoff date.
Public Records Law and St. Tammany Felony Records
Under RS 44:31, any person of majority age in Louisiana may inspect, copy, or reproduce public records. The burden of proving that a record should not be disclosed falls on the custodian of that record. You do not need to provide a reason for your request. Felony case files maintained by the St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court are public records once the case reaches final disposition. RS 44:32 allows the clerk to charge reasonable fees for copies, though in-person inspection itself is generally free.
RS 44:3 exempts records related to active investigations and pending criminal litigation. Until a case in the 22nd Judicial District Court reaches final judgment, case files beyond the initial arrest report remain restricted. This protects ongoing prosecutions from interference. Once a case closes, the full record opens to public inspection. Expungement under RS 44:9 can remove certain records from public access after a court order, but does not destroy them.
For background checks beyond case records, contact the Louisiana State Police at (225) 925-6095. A state criminal history check costs $26. Adding FBI records brings the total to $39.25. Federal felony cases in St. Tammany Parish go through the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and are searchable through PACER. City of Slidell felony cases are handled through the 22nd JDC and the Covington clerk's office.
