Slidell Felony Records

Slidell felony records are maintained by the St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court, where the 22nd Judicial District Court handles all felony cases for the parish. Slidell is the largest city in St. Tammany Parish on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The clerk's main office is in Covington at 701 N. Columbia Street, and a Slidell Annex office is located at 520 Old Spanish Trail, 5th Floor.

Slidell Annex Office

The St. Tammany Parish Clerk maintains a Slidell Annex office at 520 Old Spanish Trail, 5th Floor, Slidell, LA 70458, phone (985) 643-6969. The Slidell Annex is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and closes from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM daily for lunch. The Slidell office handles criminal records research and copies, expungement documents (allow 7 days to process), and other clerk services.

Note several limitations of the Slidell Annex: it cannot receive mail or packages (send all mail to P.O. Box 1090, Covington, LA 70434). Protective orders cannot be processed in Slidell and must go to the Justice Center in Covington. Documents prior to 1975 are not immediately available in Slidell. New suits should be filed by 4:00 PM in the Slidell office. For urgent protective orders, contact Safe Harbor at (985) 626-5740.

Online Access and Criminal Records

The St. Tammany Parish Clerk offers online access to court records through two systems: the Legacy Public Records Program (criminal case data from 1988 to 4/25/2019) and Odyssey WebROA (criminal case data from 1988 to present, document images from 4/25/2019 to present). Subscription plans range from $20 for 24-hour access to $480 for one-year Odyssey access. Online copies cost $0.35 per page. Court record downloads cost $5.00 per document plus $0.35 per page.

For mail requests, send to P.O. Box 1090, Covington, LA 70434. Do not send mail to the Slidell Annex as it cannot receive packages. Include the subject's full name, date of birth, aliases, and date range. Attach a copy of your ID and payment for fees.

Statewide Resources

Under RS 44:31, any person of majority age has the right to inspect public records. RS 44:3 restricts active case records until final judgment. For statewide criminal history, contact the Louisiana State Police at (225) 925-6095. State background checks cost $26, or $39.25 with FBI records. The LSP Internet Background Check portal handles authorized agency requests. The ClerkConnect portal at clerkconnect.com may provide online inquiry access to St. Tammany Parish case data. Federal felony cases from Slidell go through the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and are searchable via PACER.
